My name is Sebastian Brannen. I enjoy my life, but I've always wanted to do something that excites me. I believe it's good to be different. I'm happy because I know I'm a good person who wants to do good for others.
I was born in 2002 and diagnosed with Autism when I was three. Since then, I've visited a psychologist and neurologist for medication and taken speech, occupational, and behavior therapy. These therapies have helped me understand myself, deal with stress, socialize, make friends, and improve in school.
Repetition is a characteristic of Autism that I'm learning to understand. My behavior therapist helps me cope with this, but sometimes people get tired of hearing my stories. I feel sad and ignored when they seem annoyed because I love talking about movies and actors.
School has been challenging for me. My mom fights every year to ensure I get the right accommodations and a full-time aide. My aide, who has been with me since 9th grade, helps me with my work and keeps me focused. I also have friendly teachers who sometimes talk to me about movies.
I've never been bullied because my friends at school are great. They like my wisdom, personality, and how I talk about movies, shows, and actors. I also enjoy making PowerPoint presentations about my career.
I can attend school until I'm 21, but I want to learn things that will help my future career. My dream is to go to Full Sail University to become the best movie/show writer and voice actor. I also want to make friends who can come to my house and talk about our interests.
I grew up without a father, but in 2014, I met Robert Brannen, who adopted us and loves us very much. My dad cooks the best food and teaches me how to do various tasks around the house.
My mom, Valeria Brannen, is an excellent golfer and biker. She was on a reality show called Big Break 3 on the Golf Channel in 2005. She owns a golf school, so I had no choice but to learn how to play. My mom loves to take me to places and make my birthday parties the best. She also helps me control my emotions during tantrums.
I have three sisters: Camila, Sara, and Valentina, and an uncle named Daniel Mayor. Camila graduated from UF in 2021 and helps me become a better person. Sara, who is one year older than me, was the JROTC battalion commander in 12th grade and now attends UCF in Orlando. Valentina is seven years younger than me and my movie/TV show partner. My uncle Daniel is nine years older and lives in California, where he is becoming a doctor.
My grandfather, Toto, is a Zen in Movement master who helps me calm down. He teaches me golf and takes me to the movies and my favorite restaurants.
In July 2020, I started my YouTube channel, Sebas' Voiceover World, to showcase voice actors and have interviews with them. I've gained over 3k subscribers and post birthday wishes to voice actors on Instagram.
I graduated from Stoneman Douglas High in June 2022 and enrolled in the Dan Marino Foundation, where I learned social skills and work ethics. After graduating from the foundation in June 2023, I started voice acting classes and will graduate in March 2023. I've also been working on losing weight and completed my first half marathon in February 2023.
I'm excited about my future in voice acting and plan to volunteer in as many shows and movies as possible. This is Sebas' World for now. I'm determined to make my dreams come true and accomplish my goals.
Autism is Not a Disability! It's a Different Ability!
